Game Creation Society is a student-run organization at Carnegie Mellon University, dedicated to the art and science of making games. Composed of individuals from all across the academic spectrum, GCS provides an environment for people of various disciplines to work together on projects as they would in a real development environment. Whatever your talents are, if you are interested in making games we can find a role for you!

Kickstarter Contest

Yesterday we had our first ever Kickstarter Contest, in which entrants pitched a project to the club as if they were pitching to investors. The winner was Matt Becker, with his presentation for his semester project ROB. Congrats!

Next week is Release! Woo! Schell Games is sponsoring it again this semester, which is awesome. There will be food and games and good company, so bring all your friends and share the GCS love.

Cyberpunk Contest

Today we wrapped up our Cyberpunk contest. The winners were:

The next contest is going to be something new. It's going to be a pitch contest, where entrants re-pitch their semester projects (or alternatively, some other project, old or current or new), showing off whatever they've made so far (art assets, playable demos, music, etc.). Best pitch wins.
