So I agree with Duncan that it's probably be a good idea to try to write a 50 page short story.

I kinda want the first robot and David to partner up. They both share a common desire to defend their kind, and they both made the common mistake of being used by the evil overlord of robots (David in creating it, the robot in being its spare battery) to facilitate the destruction of the world. The robot would have an interesting inner conflict on freedom from the overlord vs independence from humans and David in distinguishing from mistakes that need to be destroyed completely (ie VaNgia) vs mistakes that may contain the path to redemption within themselves (ie the initial robot). It would make for better character development.

Question Answering EvilLlama

1. I'm not really trying to keep my self on a deadline. I'm trying to keep things less stressful and heavy on me and my team.

2. A Cyberpunked-up version with a style mix of Kingdom Hearts and Devil May Cry.

3. Platformer knowledge, shooter knowledge, RPG knowledge and stuff I have learned from those genres. Of course all those little games were like minors as this one will be. I don't mean big and commercially kinda game I just mean a free 3D game you can download somewhere as freeware.

4. The 3D knowledge of Game Maker's 3D capabilities and a little bit of RPG Maker on the PS2 but that doesn't have the type of system I actually need. So I'm making it in Game Maker

5. Talents include just normal abilities of being able to create a game anyways and I would prefer contacting normally by Face to Face communication or video chat. But I'd be fine with Instant Messaging.

6. No basic Slash and Smash fast-paced Action RPG style. So I could probably say basic. But I decided to put in the part of controling the robot which puts in a recon and stealth type scene into the game and I will probably make a demo to show the exact gameplay style of the robot which before he's turned into a teeny tiny little battery.

7. To try to keep the game graphics a little bit lower so a wider variety of people can play the game and download it for their PC's.


8. Mostly a mimicry mechanic the characters often mock each other in childish voices and it has that anime style so I guess you could say it's based off of mimicry mechanics and graphics/music.

9. Okay some characters have been deleted from my concept list. So basicly I can make enemies pretty fast and then there are not way too many chars and I'll balance this by working around not many newer characters.

I'll probably get to your's tommorow dboehle. Oh and also I decided to add your idea and make you be able to use the initial robot which is Proto. Proto as in the inital robot and eventually your sidekick which escapes from VaNGiA in a fight where a heavy impact kick knocks it off VaNGiA and hurting it making it cranky but it of course joins you for saving it from metal head minister over there. Of course though you do meet a female partner later in the game and I really need to add her into the storyline and gameplay post.

Sorry about the questions. But I definitely think your game is a lot more concrete and within scope now.

As for the female, it might be cool if she were a cyborg missing an arm whom they meet up with when she attempts to attack Proto for its arm. In the game, the player can give her different abilities by outfitting her with different mechanical arms taken from defeated enemies.
